ESG Overview
Altius is focused on integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”) principles across its operations, with a structured framework spanning its tower portfolio. Our ESG approach is aimed at strengthening governance, enhancing transparency, and aligning with global standards to support long-term, sustainable growth. Altius is in process of adopting an ESG foundation underpinned by multi-tier governance, stakeholder-driven materiality assessment, and alignment with internationally recognized reporting and conduct standards.
Altius has undertaken a materiality assessment to identify key ESG priorities based on structured stakeholder engagement and peer benchmarking. ESG key performance indicators and disclosures have been finalized in alignment with global frameworks, including the Global Reporting Initiative, customer requirements, and investor expectations. ESG-related policies have been reviewed and are in the process of being aligned with international standards. A data gap assessment has been undertaken, and processes have been initiated to strengthen ESG data management and reporting capabilities across the platform.

Occupational health and safety are placed at the forefront of our operational management framework, reflecting its commitment to the safety and well-being of all individuals involved in its operations, including employees, contractors and service providers. Given the large geographic footprint of our operational activities across all 22 telecom circles of India, Altius has implemented clearly defined safety management systems and controls across all circles and operations. These mechanisms are designed to facilitate the monitoring and assessment of safety practices, as well as the development of corrective and preventive actions where required. Altius is committed to continuously improving the safety of its people across all aspects of its operational activities.
To maintain appropriate workplace safety standards, Altius has established a safety framework underpinned by defined policies and procedures. Regular site inspections and systematic reviews are conducted to ensure compliance and reinforce consistent safety behaviors across the workforce. Safety governance meetings serve as an additional layer of risk oversight, fostering accountability and proactive engagement to prevent workplace incidents.
A dedicated health and safety team is responsible for verifying that all safety processes are rigorously followed across each telecom circle and by Altius’ operations and maintenance teams and service providers.

The Investment Manager oversees an environmental management framework that encompasses the responsible stewardship of natural resources and the reduction of our environmental footprint across its portfolio. Our current environmental initiatives include afforestation programs, renewable energy interventions, reduction of diesel consumption and carbon emissions through green power deployment, energy efficiency initiatives across the site portfolio, and responsible waste management at sites.
Social
Our social responsibility framework is focused on creating measurable positive outcomes in the communities in which it operates. Our programs address the needs of vulnerable groups through initiatives aimed at improving living conditions, access to healthcare, and economic opportunity. Our ESG material topics for its tower portfolio include community impact and diversity and inclusion as defined ESG focus areas, reflecting Altius’ recognition of its role as a large-scale infrastructure operator with a presence across all 22 telecom circles of India.
Governance
The Trust’s governance framework reflects the requirements of the SEBI InvIT Regulations and applicable corporate governance standards for listed InvITs. The Board of the Investment Manager includes a majority of independent directors, ensuring independent oversight of key decisions. The Trust maintains clearly defined policies on related-party transactions, code of conduct for board and senior management, risk management, stakeholder engagement and business conduct and ethics.
ESG Roadmap
The Trust’s ESG program continues to evolve in line with global standards and investor expectations. The Trust’s forward ESG priorities include: the publication of a unified, assurance-ready ESG report with enhanced disclosures across all three operating platforms; the development of a decarbonization roadmap and climate risk assessment; and the strengthening of KPI tracking, monitoring systems, and internal ESG capabilities across the platform.
